The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Rigoni during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Show Must Go On ! got a freekick which was hit by Federico Rigoni. 6 minutes into the match, Show Must Go On !'s goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Caracciolo came free, but Dave Tenaglia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Comunardo Del Vecchio made a precise shot to the right of Dave Tenaglia. Show Must Go On !'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With his leg Florian Nasuti managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Show Must Go On !'s Federico Rigoni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ettore Caracciolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Comunardo Del Vecchio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tenaglia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Comunardo Del Vecchio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dave Tenaglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ettore Caracciolo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Florian Nasuti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Como, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Comunardo Como received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Florian Nasuti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Federico Rigoni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florian Nasuti. Marano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Rigoni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Comunardo Como came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Show Must Go On ! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Comunardo Como couldn't finish the play. Show Must Go On !'s Dave Tenaglia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Del Vecchio in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ettore Caracciolo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Show Must Go On !'s zone, Ettore Caracciolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Tenaglia came out of the goal and Ettore Caracciolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marano FC's Ettore Caracciolo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ettore Caracciolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dave Tenaglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico Rigoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Marano FC's zone, Comunardo Como stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Nasuti came out of the goal and Comunardo Como tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ettore Caracciolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dave Tenaglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Comunardo Del Vecchio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Tenaglia having to interfere. Marano FC's Ettore Caracciolo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Federico Rigoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florian Nasuti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Rigoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Marano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Rigoni came free, but Florian Nasuti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Nasuti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Rigoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A nice corner shot did that Federico Rigoni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Florian Nasuti quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfonso Berardinelli struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Florian Nasuti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Show Must Go On !. Florian Nasuti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Comunardo Como, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Florian Nasuti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Comunardo Como went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dave Tenaglia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Caracciolo in the 93rd minute of play. With a little luck, Show Must Go On !'s Dave Tenaglia got control of the ball when Comunardo Del Vecchio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Show Must Go On !'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
