After 3 minutes of play, Tor Vaianica FC's Dino Lemme made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With an all-out effort, Avegno's Eugenio Terrasi threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Colombi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tor Vaianica FC's Eugenio Terrasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Colombi in the 15th minute of play. Comunardo Tocci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Miranda having to make a save. Dino Lemme scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Miranda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Comunardo Tocci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Miranda. Avegno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Comunardo Tocci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. A collision led to Tor Vaianica FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Frank Cieri hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Cristoforo Panico shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eugenio Terrasi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Avegno! Anselmo Colombi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Colella hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Colombi in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Terrasi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugenio Miranda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

In the 59th minute of the match, Frank Cieri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eugenio Miranda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eugenio Terrasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Colombi in the 78th minute of play. Diego Colella hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Anselmo Colombi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Terrasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Negri in the 82nd minute of the match. When Anselmo Colombi came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Avegno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Colombi couldn't finish the play. If Anselmo Colombi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ercole Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Terrasi having to interfere. Comunardo Tocci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Miranda having to interfere. Chants of Tor Vaianica FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Avegno had held the ball for most of the match.
