Due Sicilie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciccio Casciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pellicani ROMA's Fulvio Del Grosso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Pellicani ROMA from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ercole Marconi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fulvio Del Grosso. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 20th minute, Armando Di Giandomenico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulvio Sciascia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Ercole Marconi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Fulvio Del Grosso to make any attempt to save it. In the 31st match minute, Pellicani ROMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Di Sipio to maneuver through the defense. Wilco Janus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Esposito, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulvio Sciascia was the one to do the kick off. The Due Sicilie fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Due Sicilie's Fulvio Sciascia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Magne Bergli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Del Grosso having to interfere. Wilco Janus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diego Esposito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 63 minute of play. Fulvio Del Grosso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Marconi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fulvio Sciascia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Fedele Miccoli fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Due Sicilie's protests and gave Fedele Miccoli a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Fedele Miccoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Armando Di Giandomenico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ercole Marconi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th match minute, Due Sicilie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Bergli to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes, Pellicani ROMA's Ferdinando Marchesani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilco Janus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pellicani ROMA reached it. Magne Bergli charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magne Bergli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magne Bergli hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Due Sicilie's Dino Bonanni got a free kick in the 85th minute. 93 minutes into the game, Ercole Marconi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Due Sicilie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pellicani ROMA the free kick. The supporters of Pellicani ROMA booed when Due Sicilie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Marconi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Due Sicilie's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
