Antonio Maiorano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Manzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Bernardo Fava took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arturo Falcone. Recco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nozarego fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Recco's Ercole Andreozzi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carlo Manzi. In the 29th minute, Recco's Antonio Maiorano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlo Manzi. Carlo Manzi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Amerigo Ferreri's late challenge caught a Recco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amerigo Ferreri helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Recco booed when Nozarego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerigo Ferreri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Recco's zone, Bernardo Pardini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Falcone came out of the goal and Bernardo Pardini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Filippo Fini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filippo Fini to make the kick off. A collision led to Recco getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Franco De Rossi hit a great ball. Filippo Fini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amerigo Ferreri kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Recco's Arturo Falcone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Fini in the 68th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Bernardo Pardini put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arturo Falcone. If Ettore Russi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlo Manzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvise Alati, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. A hard shot by Bernardo Fava from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Arturo Falcone's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Arturo Falcone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Fini in the 84th minute of the match. Arturo Falcone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Fini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Recco's goal looked a bit too open when Filippo Fini came free, but Arturo Falcone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Bernardo Pardini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Falcone was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Nozarego were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Recco to leave the ground with a draw.
