Arturo Falcone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, F.C Zen's Dino Parente broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Federico De Sisti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Zen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico De Sisti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberigo Di Carlo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Amos Nicolo made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Recco's Arturo Falcone tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the F.C Zen defense, Ettore Russi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carter Santo. The F.C Zen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carter Santo should have stopped the shot. Ettore Russi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Santo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ettore Russi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recco's supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Russi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carter Santo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arturo Falcone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amos Nicolo in the 38th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felice Matteucci made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Amos Nicolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With 67 minutes on the clock, Demetrio Di Matteo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Demetrio Di Matteo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Felice Matteucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Falcone having to interfere. Ettore Russi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Recco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvise Alati was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, F.C Zen's goalkeeper Carter Santo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ettore Russi. In the 82nd match minute, Recco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciccio Proia to maneuver through the defense. When Dino Parente came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the F.C Zen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Parente couldn't finish the play. Felice Matteucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Recco's Arturo Falcone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Nicolo in the 88th minute of play. Recco succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though F.C Zen had controlled the match.
