In the 4th minute, Amerigo Giordani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amerigo Giordani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Iannone having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Fausto Rocco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Savona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WSG the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Savona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Rocco to maneuver through the defense. WSG's Amerigo Giordani couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Savona FC. 17 minutes into the match, Amerigo Giordani notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Savona FC's Filippo Iannone. Filippo Iannone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Filippo Iannone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amerigo Giordani went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 26 minutes, Amerigo Giordani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WSG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amerigo Giordani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filippo Iannone came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by WSG's Amerigo Giordani. But to his dismay, Amerigo Giordani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Filippo Iannone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amerigo Giordani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filippo Iannone didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when WSG's Amerigo Imperiale shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. If Amedeo Martorella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Cesare Buffone had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. WSG's Donato Cusumano was substituted for Cesare Buffone. After 45 played minutes Savona FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Capobianco. In the 47thth minute of the game Amerigo Giordani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Savona FC's Filippo Iannone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half WSG were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bianco Polo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Amerigo Giordani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armando Ciccarelli lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. It was beautiful to see Savona FC's Fausto Rocco in action when he in the 57th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Rocco in the 61st minute of play forced WSG's goalkeeper Felice Porcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amedeo Martorella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Filippo Iannone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Amerigo Imperiale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WSG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amerigo Imperiale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The goal made the score 0-6. 73 minutes into the match, Savona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Martorella came free, but Filippo Iannone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match WSG got a corner. Savona FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amerigo Giordani ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Andrea De Filippo came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the WSG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrea De Filippo couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute of the match, Amerigo Imperiale tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filippo Iannone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bianco Polo scored 1-6 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felice Porcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute, Fausto Rocco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. WSG's Andrea De Filippo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amerigo Imperiale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filippo Iannone having to make a save. If Amerigo Imperiale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Filippo Iannone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amerigo Imperiale, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the match was over WSG could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Savona FC throughout the match.
