The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Armando Disastro mouthed his way into the referee's book. Armando Polmone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredo Mauro kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Beppe Sarnelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Ruzzi in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Alex Ruzzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casalotto's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Ruzzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beppe Sarnelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Millepiani's Adriano Piccirilli got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amos Pani scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Polmone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberigo Piccone hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Alberigo Piccone received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 51st minute, Adriano Piccirilli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 53 minutes into the game, Diego De Matteis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Casalotto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Millepiani the free kick. After a rather tough play, Casalotto's Diego De Matteis got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute Alberigo Piccone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Sarnelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Millepiani's goalkeeper Beppe Sarnelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex Ruzzi in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beppe Sarnelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adriano Piccirilli struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Armando Polmone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Millepiani. Armando Disastro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Casalotto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Piccone to maneuver through the defense. After 85 minutes of play, Casalotto's Alex Ruzzi made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beppe Sarnelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alberigo Piccone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute.
