Amos Pani who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Elia Catapano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Biagio Fantozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Sarnelli having to interfere. A collision led to Millepiani getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alfredo Mauro hit a great ball. In the 49th minute Millepiani were awarded a corner. Armando Disastro went to the cornerflag to take it. Armando Disastro made a great header on Millepiani's corner, it was just that lazio's Elia Catapano managed to reach the ball for a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Adriano Piccirilli came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Millepiani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Piccirilli couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Mauro's late challenge caught a lazio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Mauro helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredo Mauro kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
