The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Camillo Combi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th match minute, SAITTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Prisco to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Florian Paganelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAITTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Paganelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Suriani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amerigo Pari struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Corrado Cancemi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freghi Tori. SAITTA's Corrado Cancemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Combi in the 17th minute of play. Alvaro Suriani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florian Paganelli's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Corrado Cancemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Pari in the 31st minute of play. If Amerigo Pari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrado Cancemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Combi in the 34th minute of play. Camillo Combi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Amerigo Pari made a precise shot to the right of Corrado Cancemi. SAITTA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

Angelo Prisco's late challenge caught a Freghi Tori's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Prisco helped the player get up and apologised. Florian Paganelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Rava in the 61st minute of play forced Freghi Tori's goalkeeper Alvaro Suriani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Prisco hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Alfonso Antognoni sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SAITTA's Corrado Cancemi didn't even have to move. If Florian Paganelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Rava's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Suriani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Fabio Rava cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Alvaro Suriani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, SAITTA's Florian Paganelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Suriani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfonso Antognoni, 99 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
