Alessandro Placidi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Dario Santarelli made a huge save. Ponticella's Dario Santarelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Donati in the 6th minute of play. Alessandro Placidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Santarelli made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Alessandro Placidi sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sinigo booed when Ponticella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Filippini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sinigo's Antonio Donati got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessandro Placidi struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Dario Santarelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sinigo. Dario Santarelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Donati in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Alessandro Placidi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Placidi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Enrico Sacchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Parente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Ferretti, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Ponticella's Enrico Sacchetti got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Eugenio Ferretti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Ferretti made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Ferretti in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Parente saved Sinigo from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Sacchetti got free with Claudio Parente in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claudio Parente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrico Sacchetti in the 71st minute. Eugenio Ferretti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Enrico Sacchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Eugenio Ferretti reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claudio Parente. The goal made the score 0-2. The Sinigo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ponticella were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
