Camillo Combi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amerigo Pari in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Santarelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 minutes, Enrico Sacchetti made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Freghi Tori's Alvaro Suriani tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dario Santarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Camillo Combi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dario Santarelli having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Ferretti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57thth minute of the game Eugenio Ferretti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Freghi Tori's Alvaro Suriani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Corrado Sacchetti hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Enrico Sacchetti was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Ponticella's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Amerigo Pari came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Freghi Tori fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Pari couldn't finish the play. Freghi Tori's Alvaro Suriani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Freghi Tori from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute, Eugenio Ferretti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freghi Tori were furious when Arturo Cinque was red carded, 87 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 86th minute, one of Freghi Tori:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Freghi Tori. The goalkeeper, Alvaro Suriani, was totally fooled by Ponticella's Ercole Terenzi, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Alvaro Suriani made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Enrico Sacchetti sent off a good shot on target. Ponticella's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
