When Bruno Di Mario fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored a.s.Vittoria's protests and gave Bruno Di Mario a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Novigrad FC booed when a.s.Vittoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Di Mario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Mastrangelo scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anthony Di Matteo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, a.s.Vittoria's Bruno Di Mario got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Edoardo Gazza made a precise shot to the right of Carlo Di Gaetano. Novigrad FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Donato Mastrangelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 24 in the game by Donato Mastrangelo from a close distance when the talented Anthony Di Matteo managed to make a qualified save. a.s.Vittoria's players were relieved. 25 minutes into the game, Francesco Silvestre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anthony Di Matteo. Francesco Silvestre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Carlo Di Gaetano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Gazza in the 29th minute of the match. Donato Mastrangelo had several of the a.s.Vittoria's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 31 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Anthony Di Matteo as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Silvestre in the 34th minute of play forced a.s.Vittoria's goalkeeper Anthony Di Matteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Pedroni hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Aldo Niccolai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Di Matteo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Mastrangelo in the 45th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Francesco Silvestre kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anthony Di Matteo. That made the score 4-1 in the 49 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

After 56 played minutes a.s.Vittoria got a freekick which was hit by Elia Banana. After a defensive mix-up in a.s.Vittoria's zone, Francesco Silvestre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Di Matteo came out of the goal and Francesco Silvestre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th match minute, Novigrad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Scoca to maneuver through the defense. Anthony Di Matteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Silvestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Anthony Di Matteo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Mastrangelo in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Aldo Niccolai managed to get in a good position for a shot. a.s.Vittoria's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Niccolai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Di Gaetano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Concetto Poletti hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Novigrad FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Gazza came free, but Carlo Di Gaetano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 played minutes Novigrad FC got a freekick which was hit by Beppe Tacco. Francesco Silvestre hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Enzo Pedroni charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Pedroni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Donato Mastrangelo's late challenge caught a a.s.Vittoria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Mastrangelo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Novigrad FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Donato Mastrangelo hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Novigrad FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while a.s.Vittoria had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
