The referee ignored Torassi FC's protests and gave Carmine Gervasi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lokomotiv Roma 1974 booed when Torassi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmine Gervasi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Torassi FC's Franco Fata got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Franco Borgatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torassi FC's Alessandro Ascenzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Petruzzi in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franco Borgatello in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Ascenzi saved Torassi FC from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Franco Borgatello made a precise shot to the right of Alessandro Ascenzi. Torassi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Torassi FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Carmine Gervasi hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match Lokomotiv Roma 1974 got a corner. Torassi FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anfilogino Pocobello ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlo Attili was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

Fortunato De Vecchis kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Amos Di Natale shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
