Frank Paganelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Cesareo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Polito got free with Cosimo Di Bernardo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ennio Doris hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Frank Lampa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Di Bernardo having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Orsi to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Frank Paganelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Mezzanego's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Polito came free, but Cosimo Di Bernardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Christian Orsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marina di Ascea's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
