Anfilogino Di Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulvio Di Natale in the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Damiano Iannotti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristoforo De Tommasi. Basiago FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damiano Iannotti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Maria FC's Fabrizio Antonelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristoforo De Tommasi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Concetto Marziali took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Anfilogino Di Donato to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damiano Iannotti in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo De Tommasi saved Basiago FC from getting behind. Basiago FC's Cristoforo De Tommasi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Bellomo in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Damiano Iannotti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Iannotti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Basiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Iannotti came free, but Cristoforo De Tommasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Basiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Baur came free, but Cristoforo De Tommasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damiano Iannotti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damiano Iannotti got free with Cristoforo De Tommasi in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maria FC's Anfilogino Di Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Marziali in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Concetto Marziali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Damiano Iannotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Fabrizio Antonelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo De Tommasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristoforo De Tommasi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 played minutes Basiago FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Sangermano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Antonelli in the 80th minute of play forced Basiago FC's goalkeeper Cristoforo De Tommasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Basiago FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Di Natale. In the 83rd minute Fabrizio Antonelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo De Tommasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrizio Antonelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cristoforo De Tommasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damiano Iannotti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Cristoforo De Tommasi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maria FC's Arturo Guerini shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristoforo De Tommasi but with some difficulty. Damiano Iannotti might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristoforo De Tommasi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damiano Iannotti ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute, Eraldo Bellomo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristoforo De Tommasi. The goal made the score 2-6. When the match was over Maria FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Basiago FC throughout the match.
