Rivazzurra's Dario Bottaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Rivazzurra from getting a goal against them. After 90 played minutes Rivazzurra got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Totaro. In the 91st minute, Augusto Totaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Maldini in the 94th minute of play forced Rivazzurra's goalkeeper Dario Bottaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
