After a rather tough play, Romitorio's Cosimo Punta got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th match minute, Romitorio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosimo Punta to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Romitorio's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo De Cesaris came free, but Fortunato Cerri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Boldrini couldn't finish the play. Comunardo Tamburrini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Boldrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tipano's goalkeeper Comunardo Tamburrini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 49 minutes into the match, Tipano's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Marcon came free, but Comunardo Tamburrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Aurelio Boldrini made the kick off in the second half. Donato Marcon in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Comunardo Tamburrini, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arrigo Vani during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tipano getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Arrigo Vani hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Boldrini in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comunardo Tamburrini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 69 minutes into the match, Tipano's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Boldrini came free, but Comunardo Tamburrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Bravo in the 75th minute of play forced Romitorio's goalkeeper Fortunato Cerri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Marcon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comunardo Tamburrini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Aurelio Boldrini was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Romitorio's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Comunardo Tamburrini made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Donato Marcon sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute Attilio Bravo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Cerri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attilio Bravo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
