Roland De Coster came out of the goal and Arturo Zoccolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Mezzavalle's Ettore De Paolis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Fedele Molinaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leones Negros's goalkeeper Roland De Coster, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Mezzavalle's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Ferrante came free, but Alberigo Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland De Coster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Zoccolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Mezzavalle's Arturo Zoccolo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roland De Coster. Roland De Coster yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Emil Prosowski hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Leones Negros's Francesco Bucci got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alberigo Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Bucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Bucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alberigo Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fausto Ferrante might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberigo Franco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Ferrante ran back to his position shaking his head. Fedele Molinaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland De Coster having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Arturo Zoccolo came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Mezzavalle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Zoccolo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 58 minutes, Fausto Ferrante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Negros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Ferrante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Francesco Bucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leones Negros's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Bucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberigo Franco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francesco Bucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Franco having to interfere. Francesco Bucci struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Alberigo Franco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones Negros. Francesco Bucci kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Arturo Zoccolo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland De Coster was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Alberigo Franco was a little too slow when Fausto Ferrante got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-1. Leones Negros's Roland De Coster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Molinaro in the 73rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Ferrante got free with Alberigo Franco in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciro Lorefice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Ferrante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Franco having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Francesco Bucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
