Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Arioli in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Bartolomucci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Castronovo in the 13th minute of play forced Villasanta AFC's goalkeeper Alvise Di Massimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Villasanta AFC booed when Patatinaikos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Chitarroni didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alessandro Lancia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Fanelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvise Di Massimo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Villasanta AFC's Alvise Di Massimo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Villasanta AFC from getting a goal against them. Arturo Bartolomucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Arioli in the 31st minute of the match. Emilio Gaeta kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 33 played minutes, Villasanta AFC's Emanuele Giorgi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arturo Bartolomucci came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villasanta AFC reached it. 37 minutes into the match, Villasanta AFC's goalkeeper Alvise Di Massimo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Fanelli. In the 45th match minute, Villasanta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Lancia to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carmine Castronovo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Patatinaikos FC's goalkeeper Arturo Bartolomucci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Patatinaikos FC's zone, Alfredo Arioli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Bartolomucci came out of the goal and Alfredo Arioli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Arioli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Arturo Bartolomucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Alfredo Arioli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arturo Bartolomucci, passed just outside the right post. Emilio Gaeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alvise Di Massimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demetrio Pavlu's late challenge caught a Patatinaikos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Lancia got free with Arturo Bartolomucci in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvise Di Massimo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Fanelli in the 84th minute of play. Ciro Fanelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
