Elia Corna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciro Fanelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fortunato Filice having to interfere. Fortunato Filice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Fanelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lucchese getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Beppe Baresi hit a great ball. Patatinaikos FC's Carmine Castronovo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Patatinaikos FC's Ciro Fanelli got a free kick in the 21st minute. Fulvio Valcareggi's late challenge caught a Patatinaikos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulvio Valcareggi helped the player get up and apologised. 24 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Patatinaikos FC's Ciro Fanelli fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Fabio Gismondi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabio Gismondi to strike the kick off in the second half. Arturo Bartolomucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Gismondi, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Lucchese's Fortunato Filice proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Lucchese from getting a goal against them. Amerigo Cardella charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amerigo Cardella the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lucchese booed when Patatinaikos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerigo Cardella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Gaeta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Fortunato Filice when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th minute Fabio Gismondi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Bartolomucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmine Castronovo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fortunato Filice read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Fabio Gismondi hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
