Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Generoso Ilazki made the kick off and thus started the match. Alexander Bevilacqua charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Bevilacqua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Santerno FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Bevilacqua. Alexander Bevilacqua hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Santerno FC's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Ilazki came free, but Bruno Scafati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Benevento's goalkeeper Donato Di Campli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Pio. Donato Di Campli acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alexander Bevilacqua. If Franco De Sisti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 32 played minutes Benevento got a freekick which was hit by Edoardo Leone. Cristoforo Scatena's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but Benevento's Donato Di Campli knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 39 minutes into the match, Benevento's Generoso Ilazki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Scafati narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benevento were furious when George Åhman was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonello Antonangeli made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Fulvio Verdecchia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Scafati. That made the score 1-1 in the 55 minute of play. Benevento's Donato Di Campli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amos Pio in the 61st minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santerno FC's goalkeeper Bruno Scafati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When %teams%'s Generoso Ilazki was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-2 just inside the left pole, 76 minutes into the game. Bruno Scafati was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Pelati during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Santerno FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Pelati to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Eraldo Bani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Santerno FC's zone, Fulvio Verdecchia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Scafati came out of the goal and Fulvio Verdecchia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Generoso Ilazki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Scafati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generoso Ilazki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Scafati having to interfere. Donato Di Campli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Pio in the 92nd minute of play. After 97 minutes of play, Santerno FC's Amos Pio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Di Campli was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Santerno FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
