Enrico Genta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Anselmo Maio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 9 minutes into the game, Sorbara AFC's Anselmo Maio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrico Genta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Achille Iachini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Enrico Genta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ercole Pietrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Cipolla, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Maio made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Anselmo Maio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorbara AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Maio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Achille Iachini's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Enrico Genta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Sorbara AFC's Alberto Rosi got a free kick in the 59th minute. Anselmo Maio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Enrico Genta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davide Basile kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Achille Iachini's late challenge caught a Hrodohaidis Rosa Rossa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Achille Iachini helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Sorbara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Achille Iachini. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Maio in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrico Genta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sorbara AFC's Anselmo Maio got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 minutes, Florian Visintin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorbara AFC and the Hrodohaidis Rosa Rossa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Florian Visintin kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Sorbara AFC's Achille Iachini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrico Genta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Anselmo Maio came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sorbara AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Maio couldn't finish the play. Ercole Pietrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ennio Cipolla in the 93rd minute of play. The Hrodohaidis Rosa Rossa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sorbara AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
