The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ercole Andreassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Goffredo in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goffredo in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ercole Andreassi saved Quirico FC from getting behind. Ercole Andreassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Maio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Di Cesares short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Ercole Pietrini to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Anselmo Maio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Quirico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Goffredo came free, but Ercole Andreassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quirico FC's goalkeeper Ercole Andreassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anselmo Maio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Maio in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Andreassi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alfonso Goffredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Anselmo Maio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorbara AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Maio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ercole Andreassi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sorbara AFC booed when Quirico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Pellecchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florian Pellegrini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 57 in the game by Alfonso Goffredo from a close distance when the talented Ercole Andreassi managed to make a qualified save. Quirico FC's players were relieved. In the 59th minute, Anselmo Maio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anselmo Maio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ercole Andreassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the match, Anselmo Maio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ercole Andreassi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anselmo Maio made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 65thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ercole Andreassi would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, Sorbara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Pellegrini came free, but Ercole Pietrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Pellegrini in the 74th minute of play forced Sorbara AFC's goalkeeper Ercole Pietrini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Quirico FC's Ercole Andreassi got control of the ball when Anselmo Maio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Quirico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Goffredo came free, but Ercole Andreassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes Sorbara AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Rosi. Ercole Pietrini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Pellegrini in the 85th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Sorbara AFC's Ercole Andreassi threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alfonso Goffredo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 89 minutes into the match, Quirico FC's goalkeeper Ercole Andreassi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Maio. When %teams%'s Alfonso Goffredo was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-1 just inside the left pole, 91 minutes into the game. Ercole Andreassi was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. A collision led to Sorbara AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Federico Lucchetta hit a great ball. When Aldo Di Cesare came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Quirico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Di Cesare couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Maio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Sorbara AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quirico FC.
