But to his dismay, Fausto Aquilino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Vignale Nuovo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dino Apolloni hit a great ball. Felice Santarelli was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. RealFinalPia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Francesco Cammarota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Guadagnoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Fausto Aquilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute Felice Santarelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio De Filippo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulvio De Filippo made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Eugenio Gentili sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Aquilino in the 35th minute of play forced RealFinalPia's goalkeeper Francesco Cammarota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vignale Nuovo were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after RealFinalPia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabio Mangione took the corner. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felice Santarelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Tornese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Cammarota having to interfere. Francesco Cammarota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Aquilino in the 57th minute of play. Francesco Cammarota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Aquilino's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Angelo Guadagnoli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francesco Cammarota read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Angelo Porreca kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Angelo Porreca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fulvio De Filippo. Vignale Nuovo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind RealFinalPia's goalkeeper Francesco Cammarota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fausto Aquilino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Francesco Cammarota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vignale Nuovo getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Dino Martorella hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Gentili in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulvio De Filippo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fulvio De Filippo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Santarelli in the 81st minute of the match. Angelo Guadagnoli in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Francesco Cammarota, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Francesco Cammarota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Aquilino's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 90th minute, Elia Caponera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind RealFinalPia's goalkeeper Francesco Cammarota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alberto De Francesco's late challenge caught a Vignale Nuovo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto De Francesco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Alberto De Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Vignale Nuovo fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Vignale Nuovo's Angelo Guadagnoli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eugenio Rotondi's late challenge caught a RealFinalPia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Rotondi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vignale Nuovo's Eugenio Rotondi got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the match was over Vignale Nuovo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RealFinalPia throughout the match.
