Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Franco Caroli kicked off to start the match. Anselmo Caruso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Alessandro Santo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudio Cera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 6 minutes, Anselmo Caruso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.C.Cavalese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Caruso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alessandro Santo was a little too slow when Frank Basile got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. Claudio Cera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Santo having to interfere. Anselmo Caruso struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Alessandro Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C.Cavalese. When Emiliano Oriali fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viganego's protests and gave Emiliano Oriali a yellow card for diving instead. Emiliano Oriali kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Cera in the 17th minute of play forced Viganego's goalkeeper Alessandro Santo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Anselmo Caruso notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Viganego's Alessandro Santo. Alessandro Santo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Franco Caroli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Massimini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Franco Caroli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to A.C.Cavalese getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Amedeo De Francesco hit a great ball. Franco Caroli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Edmondo Di Crescenzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 39 minutes, Anselmo Caruso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C.Cavalese and the Viganego players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to A.C.Cavalese getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Anselmo Caruso hit a great ball. Emiliano Massimini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Tarquini in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Caruso made a kick off. After 53 played minutes A.C.Cavalese got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Campo. Alessandro Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Campo in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, A.C.Cavalese's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Caroli came free, but Emiliano Massimini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viganego's Alessandro Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Caruso in the 64th minute of play. Anselmo Caruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Santo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Caruso in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro Santo saved Viganego from getting behind. Frank Basile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Anthony Bozzelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Caruso struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Alessandro Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.C.Cavalese. During the 91st minute of the match Emiliano Oriali completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Emiliano Oriali a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 92 played minutes Viganego got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Oriali. Alessandro Santo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anselmo Caruso's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. A.C.Cavalese's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Franco Caroli scored to the left of an out of position Emiliano Massimini, making the score, 3-1. A.C.Cavalese walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
