In the 3rdth minute of the game Frank Tarquini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vignale Nuovo's Fulvio De Filippo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Dino Apolloni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alessandro Santo. Viganego's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino Apolloni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Arrigo Di Tommaso's late challenge caught a Viganego's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arrigo Di Tommaso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Vignale Nuovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arrigo Di Tommaso to maneuver through the defense. Frank Tarquini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With 13 minutes on the clock, Daniele Bozzelli commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Fulvio De Filippo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Tarquini in the 19th minute of play. Emiliano Oriali scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulvio De Filippo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Franco Caroli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulvio De Filippo was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Dino Martorella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Viganego's zone, Dino Martorella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Santo came out of the goal and Dino Martorella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the game, Vignale Nuovo's Angelo Guadagnoli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro Santo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Alessandro Santo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Guadagnoli went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 57th match minute, Viganego was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Briganti to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Angelo Guadagnoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessandro Santo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Guadagnoli went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. If Angelo Guadagnoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Guadagnoli in the 82nd minute of play. Dino Apolloni scored 5-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alessandro Santo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Viganego's Ercole Taglieri got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 88 played minutes Viganego got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Oriali. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Caroli in the 92nd minute of play forced Vignale Nuovo's goalkeeper Fulvio De Filippo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th match minute, Vignale Nuovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Rotondi to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Vignale Nuovo were the better team. Vignale Nuovo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
