But to his dismay, Carter Lucchetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Carter Lucchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Filippo Mucci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Edoardo Guerrieri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edoardo Guerrieri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filippo Mucci went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Biagio Apolloni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It was a penalty for Rieti AFC! Rieti AFC's Florian Liberatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Rieti AFC from getting a goal against them.
