After 26 played minutes, AFC Ajax's Alex Cardillo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anfilogino Sacchetti came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC Ajax reached it. Anfilogino Sacchetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carter Lucchetti in the 29th minute of the match. Anfilogino Sacchetti came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Ajax's Elia Abete. But to his dismay, Elia Abete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Beppe Navarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Marinelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edoardo Guerrieri was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After having played for 39 minutes, Beppe Navarra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Orca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beppe Navarra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Tosi. Beppe Navarra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Edoardo Guerrieri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Beppe Navarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Edoardo Guerrieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Ajax's zone, Beppe Navarra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elia Abete made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Alvaro Marinelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. In the 58th minute, Beppe Navarra made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Guerrieri. AFC Ajax's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Domenico Piccioli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
