Anselmo Massaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amos Pinti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Cilli having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Anselmo Massaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristoforo Cilli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Loreto in the 21st minute of the match. Anselmo Massaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience cheered when Anselmo Massaro's long shot passed Cristoforo Cilli's right side. It was 0-1, 27 minutes into the match. Dino Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Cristoforo Cilli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Sacchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th match minute, Montebello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Zacchia to maneuver through the defense. Montebello's Cristoforo Cilli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Massaro in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Galciana FC's Federico Sabatino got a free kick in the 41st minute. Florian Colagrossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Montebello's Cristoforo Cilli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Loreto in the 45th minute of play. If Amos Pinti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Concetto Apicella made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Montebello's Comunardo Colaussi got a free kick in the 54th minute. Cristoforo Cilli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Loreto in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Montebello got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Guerra. In the 60th minute, Florian Colagrossi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlo Scudieri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Amos Pinti struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Cristoforo Cilli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galciana FC. Anselmo Massaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristoforo Cilli having to make a save. After having played for 66 minutes, Dino Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galciana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Loreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Montebello's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Dino Loreto scored to the left of an out of position Cristoforo Cilli, making the score, 1-2. Dino Loreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Massaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Massaro in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristoforo Cilli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dino Loreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cristoforo Cilli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Massaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Cilli having to interfere. Fabrizio Quercia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Carlo Scudieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Amos Pinti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galciana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amos Pinti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Cilli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anselmo Massaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Galciana FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
