The supporters of Bruzzano booed when Varedo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille De Bettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Varedo AFC's Mircea Ştef made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. A collision led to Bruzzano getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dave Macchia hit a great ball. Alfredo Porro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mircea Ştef's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Beppe De Meis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mircea Ştef in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Porro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damiano Pili to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Pili in the 52nd minute of play forced Varedo AFC's goalkeeper Fortunato Nicolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mircea Ştef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gelu Udubaşa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Varedo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gelu Udubaşa couldn't finish the play. If Mircea Ştef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Porro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toomas Ime in the 66th minute. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Mircea Ştef got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gelu Udubaşa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Porro having to interfere. Varedo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gelu Udubaşa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fortunato Nicolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe De Meis, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Mircea Ştef cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alfredo Porro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Varedo AFC booed when Bruzzano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Silvestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 minutes, Mircea Ştef made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bruzzano's Alfredo Porro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Varedo AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bruzzano throughout the match.
