The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alberigo Tristezza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edoardo De Angelis's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Filippo Tana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canaro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Tana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Emilio Graziano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberigo Tristezza. ACF Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Graziano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in ACF Milan's zone, Edoardo De Angelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberigo Tristezza came out of the goal and Edoardo De Angelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emilio Graziano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edoardo De Angelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Tristezza having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, one of ACF Milan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alberigo Tristezza went to the wrong direction when Filippo Tana was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Alberigo Tristezza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Graziano, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ercole Monti kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Emilio Graziano came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Canaro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Graziano couldn't finish the play. Alessio Palmucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Addario having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Beppe Terrasi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes of play, ACF Milan's Emilio Pietrangelo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Attilio Addario was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Marinucci made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Emilio Graziano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberigo Tristezza. ACF Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Graziano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Canaro had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
