In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind SAMARATE FC's goalkeeper Fabio Pocobello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 22 minutes, Cesare Serafini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fontane AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesare Serafini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carter Genta might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Pocobello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carter Genta ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Rinaldi to make the kick off. In the 54th minute SAMARATE FC were awarded a corner. In the 56th match minute, SAMARATE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Schirru to maneuver through the defense. Cesare Serafini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carter Genta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Fontane AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 69th minute, Carter Genta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Cesare Serafini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Pocobello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Enzo Pocobello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Carter Genta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabio Pocobello, 0-2. When the match was over Fontane AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SAMARATE FC throughout the match.
