In the 9th match minute, Corticella AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Fiore to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Corticella AFC's zone, Alfonso Volpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Paris came out of the goal and Alfonso Volpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Federico Fini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.S ROMA's Federico Fini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise Macchia in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes A.S ROMA got a freekick which was hit by Carter Ucci. If Cristiano Tullio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Volpe in the 30th minute of play forced Corticella AFC's goalkeeper Arturo Paris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Volpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Volpe in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Paris saved Corticella AFC from getting behind. A.S ROMA's Federico Fini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise Macchia in the 38th minute of play. Federico Fini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvise Macchia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberigo Mannucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Fini having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Volpe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Fulvio Caniglia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S ROMA and the Corticella AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes A.S ROMA got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Caniglia. 58 minutes into the match, A.S ROMA's goal looked a bit too open when Alvise Macchia came free, but Federico Fini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberigo Mannucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Fini having to interfere. Alvise Macchia scored 1-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Federico Fini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvise Macchia in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Fini saved A.S ROMA from getting behind. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Fini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Mannucci in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Alvise Macchia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Fini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Paris made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Cristiano Tullio sent off a good shot on target. If Alfonso Volpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrado Fiore hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Corticella AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while A.S ROMA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
