In the 4thth minute of the game Christian Rossi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontenure AFC's Alberigo Marcucci was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Campogalliano FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Anselmo Marcolongo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Campogalliano FC's Fedele Brandolini got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Elia Iannotti came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Pontenure AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elia Iannotti couldn't finish the play. Christian Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes Campogalliano FC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Rossi. Elia Iannotti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Campogalliano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Iannotti came free, but Corrado Melis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian La Penna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florian La Penna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Corrado Melis made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florian La Penna got free with Corrado Melis in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Elia Iannotti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corrado Melis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Elia Iannotti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Corrado Melis. Elia Iannotti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Elia Iannotti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Campogalliano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Iannotti came free, but Corrado Melis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corrado Melis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian La Penna in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Alberigo Marcucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Piccone in the 51st minute of the match. Elia Iannotti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corrado Melis having to interfere. Fulvio Salvucci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberigo Marcucci having to make a save. 57 minutes into the match, Campogalliano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian La Penna came free, but Corrado Melis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 played minutes Campogalliano FC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Marcolongo. After a defensive mix-up in Campogalliano FC's zone, Elia Iannotti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corrado Melis came out of the goal and Elia Iannotti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corrado Melis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian La Penna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Florian La Penna came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Pontenure AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian La Penna couldn't finish the play. Christian Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corrado Melis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Iannotti in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Bruno Di Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pontenure AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Campogalliano FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
