Enrico Colle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Del Monaco in the 13th minute of the match. Enrico Colle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Del Monaco in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Biscotti in the 24th minute of play forced Marola FC's goalkeeper Dario Alfieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Alfieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Biscotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Marola FC booed when Limbiate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Rubini didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Biscotti during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Limbiate FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Antonio Biscotti hit a great ball. Franco Del Monaco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Damiano Cera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Colle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Marola FC's Franco Del Monaco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrico Colle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Franco Del Monaco scored 2-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrico Colle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damiano Cera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Colle having to interfere. Franco Del Monaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After having played for 55 minutes, Augusto Pedroni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limbiate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Pedroni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute Augusto Pedroni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Alfieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute Damiano Cera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Colle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Alfieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Pedroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 62 played minutes Marola FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Bertolini. Franco Del Monaco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Enrico Colle made a huge save. Damiano Cera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Damiano Cera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marola FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damiano Cera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrico Colle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Damiano Cera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Colle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franco Del Monaco got free with Enrico Colle in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrico Colle was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damiano Cera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 88 minute of play.
