After 28 played minutes, Betlemme AFC's Demetrio Borrelli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augustinus Tomkiewicz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Betlemme AFC reached it. Ciccio Vago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Eugenio Orioli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Borzoli's goalkeeper Augustinus Tomkiewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite this Augustinus Tomkiewicz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Fedele Scudieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Betlemme AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Scudieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustinus Tomkiewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
