Vigolante's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aldo Pozzoli 15 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. With a little luck, Vigolante's Ermanno Oddi got control of the ball when Dario Cicchetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dario Cicchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eugenio Malvezzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Donato Taddeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Eugenio Malvezzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Pozzoli to make the kick off. In the 58th minute of the match Carmine Orsini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ennio De Lorenzi skillfully saved the ball. Vigolante's Ermanno Oddi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Pozzoli in the 60th minute of play. Ermanno Oddi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Pozzoli in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Eugenio Malvezzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vigolante's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Malvezzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Santerno AFC's zone, Diego Gerosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ennio De Lorenzi came out of the goal and Diego Gerosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Vigolante's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Pozzoli came free, but Ermanno Oddi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santerno AFC's Aldo Pozzoli got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Franco Bellucci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ennio De Lorenzi. Santerno AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franco Bellucci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ermanno Oddi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Anzolin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Santerno AFC's Ennio De Lorenzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Santerno AFC from getting a goal against them.
