After a defensive mix-up in Santerno AFC's zone, Bernardo Cicchetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ennio De Lorenzi came out of the goal and Bernardo Cicchetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciccio Giocondo made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Dario Cicchetti sent off a good shot on target. If Bernardo Cicchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Aldo Pozzoli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ciccio Giocondo. The goal made the score 1-0. Dario Cicchetti struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ciccio Giocondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santerno AFC. The supporters of Paris San Germani booed when Santerno AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Pedrelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Leggeri in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ennio De Lorenzi saved Santerno AFC from getting behind. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aldo Pozzoli made a kick off. Santerno AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Pozzoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciccio Giocondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Paris San Germani's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Cicchetti came free, but Ciccio Giocondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ennio De Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Cicchetti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Pozzoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santerno AFC's Aldo Pozzoli got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes Paris San Germani got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Varglien. Eraldo Maio hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Leggeri in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ennio De Lorenzi saved Santerno AFC from getting behind. After 94 played minutes Santerno AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anfilogino Vittorio. Bernardo Cicchetti was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 97 minutes of play, Paris San Germani's Armando Leggeri made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ennio De Lorenzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
