The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eraldo Fioravanti was the one to do the kick off. If Ettore Epifani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberigo Gallo in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eraldo Gregori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eraldo Gregori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Gallo in the 58th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Eraldo Fioravanti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maris's Ermanno Cipolla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eraldo Fioravanti had several of the Maris's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 63 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Ermanno Cipolla as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Donato Testa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avellino's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Testa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermanno Cipolla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amos Di Lillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermanno Cipolla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Avellino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Chioda to maneuver through the defense. Eraldo Gregori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Epifani in the 81st minute of the match. Alberigo Gallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Gregori having to interfere. Ettore Epifani struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eraldo Gregori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maris. If Alberigo Gallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
