Biagio Piccinini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anthony Rago having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SuRReaL MadRiD's zone, Enzo Cericola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Rago came out of the goal and Enzo Cericola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Piccinini in the 16th minute of play forced SuRReaL MadRiD's goalkeeper Anthony Rago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthony Rago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Piccinini in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, SuRReaL MadRiD's Cosimo Lusi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Davide Scirea. Davide Scirea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. SuRReaL MadRiD's Alessandro Mascitti got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 28 minutes, Enzo Cericola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. real Cottolengo A.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Cericola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Restaino struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Anthony Rago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for real Cottolengo A.C.. After 32 played minutes real Cottolengo A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Moscatelli. A collision led to SuRReaL MadRiD getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cosimo Lusi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Biagio Piccinini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anthony Rago was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Cericola in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anthony Rago saved SuRReaL MadRiD from getting behind. real Cottolengo A.C.'s Davide Scirea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save real Cottolengo A.C. from getting a goal against them.

If Enzo Cericola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davide Scirea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Corvo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match Biagio Piccinini climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Anthony Rago. The supporters of SuRReaL MadRiD booed when real Cottolengo A.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Grandis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, real Cottolengo A.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Mancini to maneuver through the defense. Carter Galdi kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 93 played minutes, SuRReaL MadRiD's Bruno Bucci shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davide Scirea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SuRReaL MadRiD reached it. In the 95th minute, real Cottolengo A.C.'s Beppe Mancini seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Beppe Mancini the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of real Cottolengo A.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Beppe Mancini had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 94 minutes into the game, one of real Cottolengo A.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee blew the final whistle, SuRReaL MadRiD could leave the field as winners, despite real Cottolengo A.C. having more of the ball for most of the match.
