Fabiano Atroce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

With a little luck, Rossignago's Daniele Maia got control of the ball when Dennis La Marca tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Fabiano Atroce notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Rossignago's Daniele Maia. Daniele Maia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Nobile's late challenge caught a Rossignago's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Nobile helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Verona got a freekick which was hit by Alex Nobile.
