Affori FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C. New Gorla Minore the free kick. Carlo Fabri kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Affori FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Castellini to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Precioso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Antonello Campo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Affori FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Carlo Fabri hit a great ball. With a little luck, Affori FC's Antonello Campo got control of the ball when Aurelio Precioso tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to A.C. New Gorla Minore getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rares Buga hit a great ball. Affori FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alfonso Talone 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Aurelio Precioso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonello Campo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When Cosimo Gerosa fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Affori FC's protests and gave Cosimo Gerosa a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Affori FC! Ennio Castellini scored 2-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anthony Del Duca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Antonello Campo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Talone, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of A.C. New Gorla Minore booed when Affori FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Petrella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fedele Burgnich hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ennio Castellini was the one to do the kick off. Affori FC's Antonello Campo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Precioso in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of A.C. New Gorla Minore booed when Affori FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciccio Campoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Alfonso Talone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Campo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ennio Castellini might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthony Del Duca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ennio Castellini ran back to his position shaking his head. A.C. New Gorla Minore's Anthony Del Duca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save A.C. New Gorla Minore from getting a goal against them. Affori FC's Antonello Campo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Precioso in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute Fausto Giusti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Campo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute of the match A.C. New Gorla Minore got a corner. Affori FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damiano Basile ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antonello Campo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Talone in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Talone in the 75th minute of play forced Affori FC's goalkeeper Antonello Campo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Talone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Antonello Campo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Aurelio Precioso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonello Campo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Precioso in the 84th minute of play. Antonello Campo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Precioso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthony Del Duca came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Affori FC's Fedele Petrella. But to his dismay, Fedele Petrella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 94th minute, Alfonso Talone made a precise shot to the right of Antonello Campo. Affori FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. A.C. New Gorla Minore's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
