In the 21st minute, Anfilogino Pocobello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Arturo Selvi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosimo Lusi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bianco Conforti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bianco Conforti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Selvi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Corrado Rosati managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albate's supporters rose to their feet, but Corrado Rosati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bianco Conforti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bianco Conforti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Selvi's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Achille Verna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Albate got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Selvi. Comunardo Giancristofaro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience was convinced that Arturo Selvi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bianco Conforti was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
