Edoardo Prato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Attilio Marchesani in the 18th minute of the match. Traversara's Edoardo Pedrelli got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Basso in the 22nd minute of play forced Cimirlo FC's goalkeeper Demetrio Travaglini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traversara's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Attilio Marchesani 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Fedele Aversano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Travaglini having to interfere. Edoardo Pedrelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Attilio Marchesani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cimirlo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Attilio Marchesani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Attilio Marchesani came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cimirlo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Attilio Marchesani couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Traversara's zone, Armando Berardini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edoardo Prato came out of the goal and Armando Berardini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Traversara's Edoardo Pedrelli in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cimirlo FC's goalie prevented a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Cimirlo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Basso came free, but Demetrio Travaglini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Attilio Marchesani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Traversara's Edoardo Pedrelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demetrio Travaglini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Edoardo Pedrelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Travaglini having to interfere. Edoardo Prato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Attilio Marchesani's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. The supporters of Cimirlo FC booed when Traversara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Scutti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Traversara's Edoardo Pedrelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demetrio Travaglini narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
