After 6 minutes, Felice Aversa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drinking Team and the Tor Tre Ponti players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Fabrizio Gazza fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tor Tre Ponti's protests and gave Fabrizio Gazza a yellow card for diving instead. Fabrizio Gazza hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Fedele Renzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrico Paris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Enrico Paris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Di Rocco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 19 minutes, Achille Di Rocco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drinking Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Achille Di Rocco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 played minutes Drinking Team got a freekick which was hit by Felice Aversa. Felice Aversa got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Augusto Mastrangelo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Tor Tre Ponti booed when Drinking Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Battisti didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Tor Tre Ponti's Edoardo Proia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Tor Tre Ponti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Drinking Team:s goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Achille Di Rocco to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Enrico Paris managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Drinking Team's Claudio Schiavo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Achille Di Rocco took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrico Paris. Enrico Paris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Tor Tre Ponti's Fabrizio Gazza got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Emiliano Cieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Panino having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Drinking Team got a freekick which was hit by Fedele Renzi. Emiliano Cieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Achille Di Rocco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Paris having to interfere.
