Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ennio Serra started the match with the kick off. Ferdinando Melito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennio Serra in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Arturo Di Mascio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real La Spezia's Ferdinando Melito. Ferdinando Melito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Real La Spezia defense, Edmondo Pelati kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdinando Melito. The Real La Spezia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdinando Melito should have stopped the shot. Vinovo's Arturo Di Mascio got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Real La Spezia's Ferdinando Melito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Di Mascio in the 14th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vinovo's zone, Alex Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Mara came out of the goal and Alex Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinando Melito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Di Mascio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Bernardo Costantino notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Vinovo's Dino Mara. Dino Mara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arturo Di Mascio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardo Costantino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dino Mara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes, Edmondo Pelati mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vinovo and the Real La Spezia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real La Spezia booed when Vinovo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Pelati didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Vinovo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Dino Mara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Franco in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute Bernardo Costantino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Mara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmondo Pelati kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Alex Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Mara having to interfere. Bernardo Costantino scored 2-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dino Mara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardo Costantino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dino Mara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernardo Costantino came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Real La Spezia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Costantino couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ennio Serra during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ennio Serra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ferdinando Melito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Serra in the 83rd minute of play forced Real La Spezia's goalkeeper Ferdinando Melito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 85th minute of the match Edmondo Pelati completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edmondo Pelati a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 86th minute, Edmondo Pelati hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Di Mascio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ferdinando Melito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
