Anfilogino Lucchetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Brandini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Segrate's Demetrio Tozzi got control of the ball when Amerigo Sivieri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Biagio Cesareo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Di Marino during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Segrate's Diego Di Marino got a free kick in the 26th minute. Segrate's Demetrio Tozzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Giorgio in the 29th minute of play. Anfilogino Lucchetti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlo Meo went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Emilio Brandini struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Anfilogino Lucchetti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Segrate. Carlo Meo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Demetrio Tozzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuele Giorgio's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Emanuele Giorgio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Demetrio Tozzi having to interfere. Emilio Brandini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Brandini made a kick off. In the 58th minute Diego Di Marino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anfilogino Lucchetti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Segrate's Emilio Brandini in the 63rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Anfilogino Lucchetti was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for AC Cerenova through an amazing save. If Amerigo Sivieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Giorgio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of AC Cerenova booed when Segrate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Ursini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demetrio Tozzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amerigo Sivieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Emilio Brandini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anfilogino Lucchetti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Brandini's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After 84 minutes of play, AC Cerenova's Emanuele Giorgio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demetrio Tozzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Demetrio Tozzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Giorgio in the 87th minute of play. If Emilio Brandini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlo Meo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Anfilogino Lucchetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Meo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Anfilogino Lucchetti made a huge save.
