After some careless play in the Cella AFC defense, Beppe Quercia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuele Del Grosso. The Cella AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuele Del Grosso should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beppe Quercia in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuele Del Grosso saved Cella AFC from getting behind. In the 20th minute Eugenio Curti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Macchione saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugenio Curti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Macchione read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Diego Rosini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Di Ciulo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Rosini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Beppe Quercia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Di Ciulo's supporters rose to their feet, but Beppe Quercia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuele Del Grosso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Cella AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Sartori came free, but Emanuele Del Grosso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedele Andreola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuele Del Grosso having to interfere. Emanuele Del Grosso made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Diego Rosini sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Arturo Negrini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domenico Pasquarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play, Cella AFC's Eugenio Curti made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Macchione was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diego Rosini hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Cella AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arrigo Topatigh to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Beppe Quercia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Del Grosso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Beppe Quercia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Andreola took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emanuele Del Grosso. Emanuele Del Grosso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 78 minutes of play Cella AFC's Arrigo Topatigh was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 79 played minutes Cella AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Topatigh. 80 minutes into the match, Cella AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Quercia came free, but Emanuele Del Grosso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuele Del Grosso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Quercia, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Cella AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
