Demetrio Ferretti charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Demetrio Ferretti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Castelnuovo's Demetrio Ferretti got a free kick in the 8th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Castelnuovo's goal looked a bit too open when Armando De Santis came free, but Alberto Cino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Roy Norström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Cino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castelnuovo's Alberto Cino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave De Carolis in the 17th minute of play. Roy Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alberto Cino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aldo Montagna fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castelnuovo's protests and gave Aldo Montagna a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Castelnuovo got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Montagna. Enzo Di Monte hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Feliciano Cristofol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Alberto Cino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Feliciano Cristofol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Cino having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Norström in the 46th minute of play forced Castelnuovo's goalkeeper Alberto Cino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Alberto Cino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Norström in the 51st minute of play. After 52 played minutes Castelnuovo got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Di Monte. Alberto Cino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feliciano Cristofol went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 63rd minute, Feliciano Cristofol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Albarea FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Alberto Cino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Cristofol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Albarea FC's Feliciano Cristofol in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castelnuovo's goalie prevented a goal. Alberto Cino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Cristofol in the 71st minute of play. Feliciano Cristofol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Cino having to make a save. Alberto Cino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Norström went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Alberto Cino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave De Carolis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Castelnuovo defense, Dave De Carolis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Cino. The Castelnuovo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Cino should have stopped the shot. Demetrio Ferretti hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Alberto Cino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Norström in the 98th minute of play.
