Cambiano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Florian Spagnuolo scored to the left of an out of position Ernesto Luzi, making the score, 1-0. When Anthony Lucidi came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Cambiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Lucidi couldn't finish the play. Filippo Farese might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florian Manzoni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filippo Farese ran back to his position shaking his head. Filippo Farese's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florian Manzoni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Anthony Lucidi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florian Manzoni was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Florian Manzoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Lucidi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the game, Biagio Petito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 44th minute, Alessandro Marziali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armando Zoff stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Farese in the 52nd minute of play forced Monte Maggio's goalkeeper Florian Manzoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthony Lucidi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Manzoni having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cambiano's Alessio Macchia got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Armando Zoff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monte Maggio's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Zoff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Luzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Filippo Farese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damiano Tartaglia's late challenge caught a Cambiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damiano Tartaglia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Monte Maggio's Damiano Tartaglia got a free kick in the 77th minute. Florian Manzoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Farese in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Monte Maggio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferruccio Magliocco to maneuver through the defense. Armando Zoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Luzi having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Armando Zoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monte Maggio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Zoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filippo Farese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Manzoni having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Florian Spagnuolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monte Maggio had played much better football throughout.
